All the ventilation openings need to be protected to prevent rain or snow infiltration. The provent attic ventilation channel provides an unobstructed air channel through your insulation. The provent rafter vent channel provides an unobstructed air channel through your insulation. Provent may be installed prior to the soffit panel without fear of blow out.

Roofs often require ventilation channels directly under the roof sheathing either for a short section of the roof for example near the eaves or for the entire roof from soffit to ridge. In a well ventilated attic cool air enters through the intake vents and carries warm moist air to the exhaust vents above. When the wind is blowing these ventilation channels allow air to move from the soffit vents to the ridge vents. Provent may be installed prior to the soffit panel without fear of blow out.
